 <El útero, a diferencia de la vejiga urinaria, tiene receptores de oxitocina en el tejido muscular… para activarse con la llegada de esta hormona; es decir, en el útero interviene la sexualidad cosa que no sucede en lavejiga urinaria, y por eso su fisiología no es del todo similar ni comparable a la del útero. De hecho, cuando se induce o se quiere acelerar un parto con oxitocina sintética, lo que sucede es que las fibras longitudinales del útero se baten espasmódicamente, pegando tirones a las fibras circulares que permanecen contraídas (además la oxitocina sintética llega en tromba en lugar de llegar de forma pulsátil). Por eso es muy frecuente que un parto inducido acabe en cesárea.
